Be Yourself!
There’s no specific mold you need to fit to join our club. We encourage you to be yourself and see if MBL resonates with your passions and goals by attending our recruitment events. However, we do look for some key qualities in our members, such as a unique perspective, intellectual curiosity, and strong writing skills.

FAQs
-
We typically look for intellectually curious underclassmen. You don't need to have your future all figured out by any means! Although many of our members intend to apply to law school after college or shortly after, this is not a requisite. We cherish our group's diversity of intended career paths and academic interests.
-
No! We accept members from all colleges and value our new associate class diversity.
-
No worries! You will not be penalized in our application process if you cannot attend all our events. Please reach out to our VP Internal (fpoxson@umich.edu) if you have any concerns.
-
Invited candidates will receive more specific information, but we encourage you to be familiar with your application materials, personal narrative, and current events related to business law. All Michigan students should have free access to Wall Street Journal and New York Times via CSG.
